Are you fed up with watching films in Vue & Cineworld? Would you rather get your film-buzz on an independent cinema with a bit of soul to it? Yeah? Me too! The kind of places we would go to are The Electric in Notting Hill or The Gate or The Coronet. Clapham Picture House too & all the Curzon cinemas as well. If you know one Ive missed out then shout out & share the knowledge. We'll see all sorts of films - big Hollywood blockbusters to Art house from wherever, again let me know & we can see wha …
If you like to watch films but do not have people to watch it with or people who share your taste then you can join this group to find people who like to watch the films that you like and hang out for a bit before or after to talk about it. I have an unlimited pass at Enfield Cineworld, and I would obviously be setting up these meet ups at that location, but you can suggest other locations as well. Its a new group, so sooner we get to a few members, sooner we can schedule an event.
We're here to put black images in film back on the map. Tired of the same old maintream excuses such as “Black film has too limited an audience” or “there’s not enough depth in Black film”. BCC will try and serve up to the diverse people that we are, movies that tell stories that reflect us and our imaginations. BCC's aims are multifold 1. To provide consistent big screen outlets for new & classic black film/documentary 2. To provide a forum for film/documentary lovers wishing to have that shar …

The electric fleapit film club meets once a month to go to the cinema and talk about film. We meet at independent or heritage cinemas to support the smaller cinema industry and to keep heritage cinemas alive. We take it in turns to choose cinemas and films. We meet up before / after the film to discuss the brilliance or the bullshit. We (you) write reviews about the film for www.electricfleapit.com . You can comment and join the discussion if you can’t make the meet-up.

I have tried many book clubs, film clubs, and have yet to find the one that had a good balance between a really good discussion and a really good day/night out. So why not start one myself? Passionate about film and literature, and not one to pass up a good glass of wine or beer, this is a group for those who enjoy all of the above. Meetups to be held at various north of the river drinking establishments.
… To provide an open forum for lovers of good music to meet and enjoy music in a range of venues across the city, from the large to the small and most of all to have fun. Think of it as 1350+ friends you can call upon to go to great gigs and other events with. It's mostly about going to gigs, but we have social meetups too and, with enough support from members, other things like jam sessions, picnics and cinema visits. It also offers scope for musicians - or those learning jazz music - to hook up …

… I'm in particular interested in meeting people from the following industries: theatre/cinema, media, music, fashion. I'm considering the art industry also as a possible career change for the future, but without pressure, so it could be a way to getting the foundations in place. And you, what would you like to do and who would you like to meet?Mostly though, it is simply about meeting and socializing with people with similar interests, just having the opportunity of meeting people you may be more …
